Mahama has nothing new to offer Ghanaians, we know his track record – Majority Leader

Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, has nothing to offer the people of Ghana.

Mr. Afenyo-Markin claims that Ghanaians will not choose Mr. Mahama in this year’s election because they remember what Mr. Mahama did in his roles as vice president and president. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, April 19, the Effutu lawmaker stated, “We have the NDC candidate who has had the opportunity to serve as vice president and president. He has been vice president for three and a half years before and he has been president for about four and a half years. We know his track record.”

“He is the same person with the same old team coming to tell us that they have something to offer but we know their track record.”

He went on to say that since Mr. Mahama would only be serving one term in the improbable event that he wins this year’s general elections, he won’t feel any pressure.

There won’t be a sense of urgency because he just has one term. We venture to predict that the government will be in disarray from the start as members of that party vie for the position of next leader.

“Ghanaians require a focused, stable government…Compared to John Mahama, Dr. Bawumia offers a better future,” Afenyo Markin stated.
