Resuming its zonal public hearing, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is now debating the 2019 Auditor General’s Report on the Public Accounts of Ghana’s Technical Universities and Polytechnics for the period ending December 31, 2019.
The five-day public hearing will also include the Auditor General’s reports on the administration and use of the Common Fund of District Assemblies and other Statutory Funds for the year ended December 31, 2019.
Greater Accra, Eastern, Oti, and Volta are the regions being examined.
The Auditor General noted a number of violations in some of the institutions, such as the failure to recover salary advances, payment of needless judgment debt, delayed or abandoned projects, and unreported student fees.
