Two armed robbers jailed 17 years each by Amasaman Circuit Court

The Amasaman Circuit Court has convicted two individuals, Lawrence ‘Rasta’ Fumato, aged 28, and Daniel ‘Alkaline’ Dzoka, aged 20, for their participation in a robbery incident targeting two victims at Agbazo close to Golden Exotic Farm, Accra.

On November 12, 2025, the suspects assaulted and stole from two victims with a pair of scissors.

The stolen items comprised a Royal 150 motorcycle, a Samsung smartphone, a Tecno Spark 8 device, an Itel phone, and GHS4,000 in cash.

Based on intelligence-driven operations, the police arrested the suspects on November 17, 2025, in Agbazo.

They were later brought before the Amasaman Circuit Court on November 27, 2025, where they admitted guilt to all charges: Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery, in violation of Sections 23(1) and 149 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).

The court imposed a 17-year prison term on each convict, with the sentences to be served simultaneously.

The Accra Regional Police Command has praised the community for its collaboration and urged the public to keep aiding police initiatives by reporting any criminal activities via emergency numbers 18555 or 191.
