Bail has been rejected for Patricia Asiedua, formerly known as Nana Agradaa, the founder of the Heaven Way Church in Accra, who was detained for allegedly defrauding several church members.

Her case has been postponed until Thursday, October 13 even though she appeared in court on Monday.

Following accusations of a money-doubling scheme made against her by several members of the public, the Police detained her on Sunday, October 9.

She is now supporting the police inquiry.

She has, however, denied deceiving church members.

In a video clip that quickly gained popularity on social media, she gave an explanation of what she had done, saying, “I announced to Ghanaians that I was going to give away cash to members of my church to invest in their enterprises and that anyone who needs cash support should come.

The first step to taking advantage of this kindness if you are not a church member is to register to formally join us.

If you merely registered that day and weren’t able to receive a piece of the cash, that cannot be fraud, and I have done nothing to insult you. I organized the all-night event and distributed the money to church members.

“I am the only person who performs the offertory on video in every church where we have it.

In a video recording that has since gone viral on social media, she was heard saying, “This was a fundraising activity, and I told to everyone that it was starting from 1000 Cedis to Coins.

Everyone in Ghana is aware that plots are being made to bring me down, and they want to end my ministry. There were protests against me when I was being ordained, and some even accused me of burying my own child in order to expand the church, but God is with me, she stated.
