On Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, will receive the Most Effective Regional Minister Award-Africa category.
On the same evening, Mr. Osei-Mensah will be inducted, along with other well-known figures from the continent, into the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Hall of Fame.
The Minister will receive the Award, which is being organized by the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation, at the 7th annual Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Awards Night.
Additionally, it will honor people whose efforts have impacted and unified the two nations.
The award is part of the GNAAF’s sustained and intentional effort to promote high moral standards among office holders, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, particularly between the two West African States, according to a letter written and signed by Comrade Barry Ndu and Serwaa Gyedu, who serve as convenor and secretary, respectively.
“These two great countries can become a powerful force to reckon with in the committee of Nations if the inherent resources are judiciously managed by our Leaders”, the letter stated.
The award, which was created in partnership with the Ghanaian Embassy in Nigeria and the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, aims to improve ties between Ghana and Nigeria by recognizing deserving businesses and people who have a positive social impact.
For his contributions to humanity, the development of Ashanti Region, and Ghana as a whole, the Ashanti Regional Minister has been the proud winner of major accolades and recognition from both International and Local organizations since 2017.
By FAKS Investigations Limited, a prominent research organization in the nation, he now holds the record for being named the greatest Regional Minister four times.
As the Best Regional Minister in President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo’s Administration, Mr. Osei-Mensah received the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours Award in 2019.
Simon Osei-Mensah received an “Excellence in Organizational and Heroes” award from the Charted Institute of Leadership and Governance, a US-based professional organization, once more in 2019.
