Kojo Amonoo, a 39-year-old taxi driver, was almost killed in Ajumako after armed bandits stole his taxi cab.

The victim said that a young girl, about the age of 14, hired him to take her to a secluded work site.

He said to Yaw Boagyan of Kasapa News that as soon as he arrived at the place, three guys there came over, assaulted him, and took his taxi away.

He said that the armed rubbers shot at him, but the bullet strangely did not eject. This infuriated the robbers, who beat him viciously until he appeared to be dead before they left him and drove off in his cab, which had the license plate GW-5692-20.

He said that despite yelling for assistance at the location of the incident, no one responded, so he crawled till he came across someone who drove him to the Ajumako District Government Hospital.

The Ajumako District Police Station has received a complaint of the incident for investigation.
