The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been ordered to unconditionally apologize to Ghanaians and the Supreme Court for wasting their time during the 2020 election petition, according to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The party’s demand comes in response to a recording that was released in which Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the party’s general secretary, admitted that the party lacked sufficient proof to challenge the results of the 2020 general election.

According to the audio recording, Asiedu Nketia told party supporters that the Director of IT had failed to electronically compile the documentation the party required to challenge the results of the presidential election.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) appears to have already won the majority seat in the general election of 2024.

The NPP spokesperson encouraged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to give up on winning the next general elections in a message of support.

“2024 is a foregone conclusion, we would win the election with the wider margin that will confront the NDC not to make an attempt to even appear before the Supreme Court,” On Saturday, he remarked.

The representative joked, “We need a healthy NDC, we don’t want to defeat a lame horse.” as she wished the NDC an event-free national delegate congress.

A few violent disruptions marred last week’s NDC Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser Congress in Cape Coast.
