In Parliament, the Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has encouraged Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, the departing Majority Leader, to make sure the house gains from his knowledge while he is not in office.

This occurs as the lawmaker from Suame steps down as leader of the house.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) said earlier today that he will now serve as the Chairman of the party’s 2024 Election Manifesto Committee.

Following a meeting in Accra, the party formally wrote to the Speaker of Parliament on the plan, and Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu subsequently announced his resignation.

Following Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsuu’s farewell speech, Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson addressed Parliament and praised the departing Majority Leader for his “selfless leadership.”

Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has led the party for almost 20 years and has a wealth of knowledge in parliamentary matters.

Dr. Forson urged him to use his institutional expertise and proficiency in handling official affairs in order to assist the House.
