The six suspected individuals who were detained in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old soldier named Imoro Sherrif in Ashaiman on March 4, 2023, have all been held by the Circuit Court there.

The defendants, Safianu Musah alias Dayorgu and Ibrahim Abdul Rakib, Samuel Tetteh alias Wiper and Abubakar Sadick alias Birdman, Yussif Mohammed and Abdul Gafaru Abdul Karim, were accused of stealing, robbing a person of their property, and getting stolen goods.

Attorneys for the two principal defendants argued for parole for their clients in court on Monday, March 13, 2023, but the judge, Simon Gaga, refused because the attorney could not substantiate their place of residence permanently.

Remanded into police custody, they are scheduled to return on March 27, 2023.

After nearly a week of tedious police operations guided by information, the perpetrators were apprehended at their hideouts in Ashaiman.

The deceased’s corpse underwent a postmortem investigation on March 8th, 2023, and the doctor verbally determined the cause of death to be exsanguination and laceration of main vessels in the left arm, which is compatible with a stab wound.
