The Ghana Armed Forces (GFA) interred the deceased officer, Imoro Sherrif, on March 9, 2023, in Accra.

Military employees moved the soldier’s body from the 37 Military Hospital morgue to the Burma Camp cemetery.

While troops were present at the graveyard to observe the burial of their late comrade, Muslim prayers were recited before his burial.

The 22-year-old soldier was a member of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) band stationed in Sunyani, Bono Region, and was slain in Taifa, an Ashaiman neighborhood.

He was repeatedly struck by unidentified assailants on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the unfortunate event happened as the soldier was returning from his girlfriend’s home in Taifa and moving toward his domicile at Zongo-Laka in Ashaiman.

Troops who were thought to have traveled from Michel and Burma Camp attacked Taifa, where the event took place, brutalized the locals, and detained 150 people.
