Bawumia begins 3-day tour of Ashanti Region

The flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is slated to undertake a 3-day campaign tour in the Ashanti region on Monday June 10, 2024.

Dr. Bawumia’s campaign schedule includes meetings with the party’s Ashanti regional executive, government appointees, members of parliament, a parliamentary candidate, the regional council of elders, the council of patrons, the constituency chairman, and a number of former regional executives, former members of parliament, former government appointees, and former regional executives at the True Vine Hotel starting at approximately eight in the morning.

Before releasing his campaign manifesto for the general elections, Dr. Bawumia will meet with all of the Ashanti region’s paramount chiefs and queen mothers at the Ashanti regional house of chief secretariat in Kumasi at 10 a.m. to share his vision with them.

The vice president will meet with the clergy once again at McKeown Temple following the two-hour meeting with the traditional leaders. The meeting with the Muslim leaders will take place at 1:30 pm at the Kumasi Central Mosque. Around three o’clock in the afternoon, the Vice President is anticipated to greet and mingle with Central Market traders.

In closing, Dr. Bawumia will meet with representatives from professional associations including the Ghana Medical Association, Ghana Bar Association, Ghana Journalist Association, University Teachers Association, Ghana National Association of Teachers, National Association of Graduate Teachers, Coalition of Concern Teachers, Ghana Institute of Architects, Ghana Institute of Engineers, Ghana Institute of Surveyors, Ghana Association of Society of Medical Physics, Nurses and Midwifery Association, Institute of Chartered Accountant of Ghana, and Ghana Institute of Planning for the first day of campaign activities.
