From January 23 to 27, 2024, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be in the Republic of Estonia on a working visit.
Dr. Bawumia, among other things, will use the visit to assess Estonia’s digital economy in comparison to Ghana’s, according to a statement signed by his spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako. Estonia is one of the most developed digitalized nations in the world.
Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to meet one-on-one with the following officials while in Estonia: Mr. Raigo Uukkivi, Director General of the Estonia Tax and Customs Board; Mr. Luukas lves, Undersecretary for Digital Transformation and government CIO at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digitilization; and Mr. Alar Karis, President of Estonia.
The vice president returns to Ghana on Saturday, 27 January 2024.
