Today, at 2,123 authorized centers around the nation, 569,095 candidates will start the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) this year.
They’re going to end on July 15, 2024, Monday.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) Management released a statement on Sunday, July 7, congratulating the candidates on their perseverance and hard work. The statement also expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, including teachers, basic school heads, directors of education, parents and guardians, and others, for their vital roles in helping the candidates prepare for the exam.
“Candidates, Invigilators, Supervisors, Schools Authorities, Teachers and Parents are advised to desist from any form of examination malpractice. GES, WAEC and the Security Services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country.”
“Parents, candidates and the general public are informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
