The NPP’s Presidential Elections Committee has warned any of its flag bearer candidates that purchasing votes is against the law.

To reduce the number of presidential candidates from 10 to five, the party will host a special delegate conference on Saturday.

The chairman of the party’s presidential elections committee cautioned delegates against bringing phones and electronic gadgets into polling booths during a press conference to reassure candidates of the committee’s commitment to holding credible and transparent elections.

Some candidates had voiced their displeasure with the procedure and demanded a level playing field for all candidates prior to the NPP’s special elections.

The vice president might be getting special treatment, according to some candidates.

The election committee claims that the process has been fair, transparent, and credible up until the last vote is tabulated, despite their being only five days left to cast your vote.

In order to ensure this, those who attempt to sabotage the process would be refused entry to polling places, according to Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, secretary of the election commission, who spoke at the press conference.

Vote-buying during elections will result in criminal penalties, according to Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye, chairman of the presidential election committee.

All candidates, according to the Committee, have received updates on the election guidelines, and the Electoral Commission has been tasked with maintaining strict adherence to them.
