The second day of former president John Dramani Mahama’s visit of the Bono Region has started.

He will visit the Dormaa West, Dormaa Central, Dormaa East, Sunyani West, and Sunyani East districts today to campaign.

On his first day, Mr. Mahama traveled to Wenchi, Tain, Banda, Jaman North and South, Berekum West, and Berekum East where he met and spoke with branch and district leaders, chiefs, and party supporters.

Mr. Mahama is running for office in 2024 with the goal of guiding the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to success.

The former president praised the party and leaders in his remarks to the delegates for their backing and endorsement.

However, he requested that they use the support to cast a large number of ballots in his favor on May 13, 2023, during the presidential elections.

The NDC presidential nominee and parliamentary candidates for the general elections of 2024 will be chosen in caucuses held in districts throughout the nation.

Mr. Mahama gave the party, in particular the branch leaders, his word that he would continue to fund the party’s initiatives and aggressively lay the groundwork for a successful 2024 campaign.

Additionally, he gave the regional and district leaders the responsibility of pledging to launch a successful campaign that targets the branches and to “make accessible to the branches campaign materials and supplies that are delivered for the work.”
