E.T Mensah to be buried on January 5

The Ningo-Prampram Kle Abordo family, under the direction of Kwabena Adey Coker, the chairman of the funeral planning community, has insisted that the announced final funeral service of Enoch Teye Mensah, the former member of parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, will take place in the first week of January 2024.

The family also confirmed that other support will be provided for the funeral ceremony and that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will honor the late E. T. Mensah with a state burial.

On November 3, 2023, the final funeral date was revealed. A press release confirming the date was sent to the media on December 27, 2023.

“He will be laid in state on Thursday, 4th January 2024 at his residence at Prampram from 5 pm to 10 pm. The burial service will be held on Friday, 5th January at the forecourt of the State House in Accra. On 7th January 2024, The Methodist Church, Prampram will host a thanksgiving service in his honor,” the statement reads.

The statement went on to say that after the date was confirmed, plans and preparations had been made to welcome dignitaries and supporters and carry out the funeral with success.

 The family also stated that since the former member of the Council of State passed away, fans and admirers have expressed their love and respect for the late E. T. Mensah by signing a book of condolences that was started in his honor.

After a protracted illness, the former Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament passed away at the age of 77 in a South African hospital.
