Man pulls a gun on himself after killing his ex-wife in Amasaman

On Thursday, December 28, 2023, a mother of two who owned a bar at Amasaman Three Junction in Accra was brutally murdered by her ex-husband.

The woman going by Esinam Vivian has reportedly been legally separated from her ex-husband because of ongoing abuse and threats.

But on Thursday at 2:00 pm, her ex-husband entered the bar brandishing a pistol, shot her three times, and then turned the gun on himself.

The dead woman is seen in videos of the horrific event that GhanaWeb was able to view lying prone in a bloody pool.

The ex-husband is seen in another video from the scene fighting for his life, blood gushing from his body, and being surrounded by police officers who had responded to the scene.

The ex-husband, who was taken away by the police after surviving the gunshot, is unknown, though.

The deceased filed for a court order to dissolve her marriage to her killer, and the two of them are said to have had two children together.
