Petroleum product customers are grinning broadly when they visit oil marketing companies (OMCs) to refuel.

With the start of the second pricing window for August, some OMCs have started to slightly lower retail prices at the pumps, contributing to the good attitude.

Fuel prices have now dropped for two straight periods of time, after dropping by a comparable amount during the first pricing window earlier this month.

For example, state-owned GOIL is now retailing gasoline (Super XP) at GH˼14.22 in this second August pricing window, down from GHż14.42 in the first pricing window.

Diesel (Diesel XP) is now being sold at GH˼14.90, down from GHʼ14.99.

In the upcoming days, it is anticipated that more oil marketing businesses would lower the retail pricing of petroleum goods.
