Ghana’s inflation hits 50.3% in November 2022

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has released the most recent data, which shows that the annual inflation rate for November 2022 was 50.3%.

This indicates that the overall price level was 50.3% higher in November 2022 than it was in November 2021.

Between October and November 2022, monthly inflation was 8.6%. Inflation in food was 55.3% in November, up from 43.7% in October, according to the GSS.

Food inflation from month to month was 10.4%.

Additionally, non-food inflation was 46.5% compared to 37.8% in October.

The inflation rate for goods made in-country was 48.3%, compared to 55.1% for goods imported.
