Sam George was fired by National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawyer George Opare Addo who is the current National Youth Organiser for supporting Brogya Genfi.

After a hotly contested election in Cape Coast on Saturday, December 10, 2022, lawyer George Opare Addo kept his job.

Sam George, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, supported Brogya Genfi’s bid for the role of National Youth Organiser before the elections.

Sam George claimed to be certain that Brogya Genfi was the most qualified candidate to serve as the National Youth Organizer.

“I am convinced without any doubt that Brogya carries the right drive and fire to hold the irresponsible and incompetent Akufo-Addo government to account.

“Arise NDC Youth for the task at hand is huge but I believe, together, under the leadership of Brogya we can achieve victory 2024 for John Dramani Mahama,” he posted on his social media handles.

Lawyer George Opare Addo stated on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with presenter Kaakyire Ofori Ayim that he was not worried by Sam George’s backing of his opponent.

Opare Addo didn’t get scared by Sam George’s support since he didn’t have any credibility as an MP.

“Sam George is an MP without Credibility; his credulity level is very low and so his endorsement is no endorsement. Nobody could take my work and servitude to the party for granted. If there is a national officer that has served the party very well, then it is George Opare Addo. I won based on my track record,” Opare Addo told Kaakyire Ofori Ayim.

Opare Addo, also known as Pablo, defeated Yaw Brogya Genfi, his only opponent, with 533 votes.

Of the 508 legitimate votes cast, Brogya Genfi, the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser, received a total of 508 votes.
