Government releases GH¢25m seed money for construction of National Cathedral

Government, thru the Finance Ministry, has granted the discharge of GH¢25 million to the National Cathedral Secretariat as extra seed cash for the project.

 

A letter dated thirty first March and written to the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) through the Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta said “Authority is hereby granted to launch the sum of 25million Ghana Cedis as extra seed cash to the National Cathedral Secretariat for the development of the National Cathedral for component price of the extremely good declare from RIBADE.”

“Authority is hereby granted to you to release the sum [of] GH¢25, 000,000.00 as additional seed money to the National Cathedral Secretariat for the construction of the National Cathedral for part payment of outstanding claims from RIBADE Limited,” the letter added.

It added the payment is to be effected to the 23 Independence Avenue branch of Cal Bank PLC with the account number 1400005311488.

He ordered for the payment into the above-mentioned company’s bank account.
