The residents of Assin North have been promised by the National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the Akufo-Addo led administration will not stop working on the existing projects in the constituency after the approaching by-election.

The last few years have seen extensive road development in the Assin North area.

Some critics have criticized the administration for the ongoing initiatives, claiming that the building of roads is a ruse to persuade voters to support the party’s candidate in the Assin North by-election.

But after officially introducing Charles Opoku, the NPP’s candidate for parliament, to the Assin North inhabitants, Chairman Ntim told the media that the government has never intended to stop working on any current projects.

He asserts that once the government has started the road projects, it will make sure that the entire project is finished and carried out properly.

Chairman Ntim emphasized that the government is building the roads because the decent people of Assin North deserve such development projects, not because of the upcoming by-election.

He took advantage of the occasion to urge voters to support Charles Opoku, the NPP candidate, in overwhelming numbers on June 27, 2023, in order to win the by-election.
