Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama emphasized the need of putting aside disagreements and cooperating for the party’s larger good at a meeting with the Northern Regional and Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday in Tamale.
She exhorted party members to set aside their grievances and concentrate on helping John Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates win the elections on December 7.
“If someone offends you, think about John Mahama and forgive the person,” she said.
The NDC flag bearer’s wife took advantage of the event to greet all Muslim guests a happy Eid ul-Adha and gave out items to commemorate the holiday.
The NDC’s Northern Regional Chairman, Ali Adolf, gave Mahama confidence that she would win the presidency and reassured the former first lady that the party would put out great effort to capture all eighteen parliamentary seats in the area.
Members of Parliament as well as regional and local executives from each of the eighteen constituencies were present at the meeting.
Following the Savanna and Bono East Regions, Mrs. Mahama’s encounter on Friday increased the number of regions she has visited to three.
