Ernest Brogya Genfi, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for National Youth Organiser, claims he would contest the results of the most recent elections in court.

The unsuccessful candidate said that there were obvious manipulations in the Cape Coast election that took place over the weekend.

With just 25 votes, incumbent George Opare Addo won the election.

Affectionately known as Pablo, he received 533 of the total votes, while Brogya Genfi received 508 of them.

The election is still very much up for grabs, according to Brogya, who said that the procedures leading up to the voting in Cape Coast were riddled with errors.

“For posterity and future elections of NDC, this thing must not let go. Otherwise incumbents will play this tactics and use it to continue to be in office,” he added.

Brogya Genfi has now fallen short to Pablo twice.

In the 2018 election, the previous MCE for Akuapem North defeated Brogya.
