Kofi Adu-Amoateng approved as DCE for Bosome Freho

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for Bosome Freho District Assembly Mr. Kofi Adu Amoateng has been confirmed as the new Chief District Executive (DCE) for the Assembly.

Mr. Kofi Adu Amoateng was overwhelmingly supported by MPs on Wednesday 16 August 2023 at Bosome Freho District Assembly Hall.

He received 22 out of 29 votes, or 75.9%, after the first round of voting, becoming the district’s new DCE.

On July 28, 2023, President Nana Akufo-Addo appointed Kofi Adu-Amoateng District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bosome Freho in the Ashanti region.

Mr Adu-Amoateng replaces Mr Yaw Danso who was suspended in October 2022 for his alleged involvement in Galamsey operations prior to his appointment, the newly appointed DCE was Secretary of the NPP New Patriotic Party in the Bosome Freho constituency.

After its approval, Hon Kofi Adu Amoateng promised to unite the party and work to improve the situation in the district.

Bosome Freho MP Hon Akwasi Darko Boateng, for his part, thanked PresidentAkuffo Addo for his appointment in an interview with Ghanatodayonline.com reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng.

He noted that the MP’s office would be associated with the new DCE and unify the constituency while promoting development in the region.

He commended the Minister of the Ashanti region, the Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, and the members of the region’s assembly for ensuring the candidate’s swift approval.
