National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians not to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in order to avoid making the same mistakes they did in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Speaking at a small gathering at the Nsawam Adoagyiri lorry station, Mahama urged Ghanaians to vote for him and the NDC in order to take advantage of the chance to turn around the nation’s failing fortunes.

On Monday, November 18, the former president began his five-day tour of the Eastern Region by stating that many NPP supporters are unhappy with the party’s leadership and have lost interest in this year’s elections.

In an indication that a change in leadership was required, he advised them to vote for the NDC instead.

“In 2016 we made a wrong choice, in 2020 we repeated that choice but I know that on 7th December 2024, we are going to correct the mistake that we made and bring NDC back into government.”

“At all times, everyone wants a good life and development. There are consequences to our choices: if we vote well, there will be freedom and development; but if we don’t, there will be hardships. So, December 7th is another opportunity to right the wrong by voting for the NDC,” Mahama added.
