Manaf Ibrahim, an aspirant for the NPP’s parliamentary nomination in the Asawase constituency, claims that all signs lead to him winning the forthcoming internal election.

Shortly after submitting his candidacy papers, the candidate spoke to governing party members in Asawase for the third time.

He lamented the schemes some party members had employed in his previous two attempts to prevent him from having the chance to speak for the party.

“I can confidently say this is my time because everything is working for me and i know i will win the upcoming parliamentary contest to lead the NPP to win the Asawase seat in 2024”, Manaf stated.

The candidate pleaded with his campaign team and supporters to be understanding of those who might not agree with his decision.

He urged people to support him by telling others why, rather than by using derogatory or hateful language.

“These internal elections in the NPP is like a household contest and if we see it as such there would be no place to entertain antagonism and division”, the aspirant educated.

He urged the elections committee to work to ensure a clean election so that the NPP would have grounds to tout its democratic credentials.
Earlier before addressing the media and the party members, Manaf Ibrahim entered the constituency office like an Arabian youth.

The cheerful Manaf waved to the crowd amid the loud music while holding a handkerchief in his hand and wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

He was joined by a group that included a vice president’s adviser and three Northern Regions-based members of parliament.

The candidate entered the party office to register his candidacy to huge ovation and cheers, and he completed it in 30 minutes.

After his public address, large groups could be seen following the aspirant to his home, causing a brief traffic block as several motorists honked in admiration of the aspirant’s maneuvers as he stood inside his car waving.
