MP for Asante Akim North has no hand in the closure of Salt FM – PA

According to Mr. Derrick Amoah, personal assistant to Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi, the  Member of Parliament(MP) for Asante Akim North Constituency, Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi is not responsible for the rumored closure of Salt FM, which is located in the constituency.

At a press conference held in Asante Akim North, Mr. Derrick Amoah made the announcement.

He said that since entering politics, Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi has put in a great deal of effort as a member of parliament, advocating for numerous development projects for the constituency.

“Hon, Appiah-Kubi has no problem with Salt FM, there is no qualm between him and Ohene Kwame Frimpong, hon, Appiah-Kubi has the development of the constitution at heart, he has extended rural electrification, portable drinking water and more road constructions are ongoing, he is  interested in taking steps to ensure that the people of Asante Akyem North gets their fair share of the National cake but not closing a radio station which has not benefit to him” he said.

Mr, Derrick urged all NPP supporters in the constituency to rally behind the MP to help the party retain the seat and for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to win the Presidential election.

“We will continue to work with Salt FM so is our prayer and hon, as well that salt comes back again” Mr, Amoah emphasized.

He described the rumor going around on social media about the MP having hand in it as politically motivated and should therefore be disregarded.
