According to information acquired by Ghanatodayonline.com, Mrantiehene Yeboah Afari “Ketekyew,” fondly known as “Man 88,” passed away over the weekend, Saturday, September 17, 2022.
With his media ethics, Mmratiehene has earned his keep and done Ghana and its people proud.
Everyone was startled by his passing because no one was aware of the outspoken media figure’s illness.
Man “88,” as he is often known, had worked for Otec FM, New Mercury, and Fox FM before moving to Sompa FM in Kumasi this year.
He hosted the social, religious, and family ties evening program on Sompa from 7 to 10 p.m. every workday.
He was a man of great discipline.
For the man who was admired for his command of the Twi language as well as his profound insight and contributions on human interest themes, condolences are already flooding in.
Having worked as a broadcaster at Otec FM for more than ten years, Mr. Yeboah was well-respected in the media community in Kumasi and throughout Ghana. He also held positions as radio manager and programs manager at Fox and New Mercury, respectively.
He gained popularity in Ghana in the 1990s.
May his disciplined soul rest in peace, we at Ghanatodayonline.com’s editorial board say he will forever be in our hearts. Due ne amanehunu, Ayikoo Mrantieehene, da yie!!!
