MTN Ghana donates to Muslims in Ashanti

MTN Ghana on Monday April 8 donates to Ashanti Regional Chief Imam ahead of Eid Celebration at the Kumasi Central Mosque.

The telecommunications giant claims that the gesture also serves to commend Muslims in Ghana for their successful 30-day fast, which was emulated globally.

MTN donated a sheep, bags of rice, cooking oils, bottled water, non-alcoholic drink and airtime.

The donation was led by the Senior Manager, General Trade for the Northern Business District of MTN Mr Simon Amoh and other staffs of MTN.

Mr Amoh explained in an interview stated that the donation is an affirmation of his outfit’s appreciation to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam and the Muslim community for the support, patronage and loyalty to MTN.

“this is an annual event that we do to support Muslims during their fasting and also because the Muslim community patronize our products and services all the time we decided to support them in this year’s celebration” he stated.

The Ashanti Regional Chef Imam, Abdul Mumah Haroun received the items and also appreciated MTN Ghana’s effort in supporting them over the years and also gave an advice to the youth to comport themselves during the upcoming elections in December to maintain peace during and after the elections.
