MTN Ghana Personalities and Ayoba awarded at the 4th annual National Communications awards 2022

The National Communications Awards have named MTN’s Ayoba App the Top Innovative Technology and Telecom Product of the Year.

The prize honors Ayoba as an inventive product that gives all MTN subscribers free access to messaging, music, games, and channel content as well as Mobile Money Services and other micro-apps.

Ayoba is a powerful software created in Africa that uses African Identity to offer distinctive content to all of its users. It connects individuals based on value.

In Ghana alone, Ayoba has over 2.1 million monthly active users, and it has over 10 million users throughout the rest of Africa.

At the event, Dario Bianchi, the Chief Digital Officer of MTN Ghana, was also named the Telecom Digital Business Leader of the Year. Selorm Adadevoh, the CEO of MTN Ghana, was recognized as one of the top thirty Transformational Technology Leaders in Africa who has demonstrated excellence in leadership and performance within the technology space.

Selorm Adadevoh commented on the awards and thanked the coordinators for the honor and distinction bestowed to the business.

He spoke “This is yet another feat for MTN, I dedicate this award to our staff and customers for believing in the MTN dream, for accepting our innovations and working with us to build world class solutions along our 2025 digital agenda. Thank you for your support and loyalty to the MTN brand.”

The National Communications Awards are a high-impact digital and communication event that will honor digitalization in all industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, health, banking, fintech, telecoms, and all other sectors that have used digital technology.

The goal of this year’s award ceremony was to unite communications sector leaders in support of Ghana’s national growth and digitalization.
