Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, the self-described evangelist and founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry in Weija, Accra, has been granted a bail of GHS150,000 with three sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.
The self-proclaimed evangelist was also ordered by the court to leave her passport in the court registry.
The first case is unrelated to this one. Since then, the case has been postponed to November 15, 2022, on Tuesday.
Circuit Court 9, which was presided over by Mr. Samuel Bright Acquah in Accra, granted the troubled evangelist bail in the amount of GHS50,000.
As a condition of her release on bail, she had to offer three sureties.
The court ruled that the sureties had to be government employees making at least GHS2,000 annually.
The church members who have accused Nana Agradaa of defrauding them in yet another money-doubling incident were also instructed to report to the case’s investigator every Wednesday until the matter’s resolution.
The founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry has entered a not guilty plea to six counts of defrauding through false pretenses and charlatanic ads.
On Monday, October 17, 2022, she made a third court appearance in relation to the fraud allegations.
She was fighting another lawsuit in a different court, but she was still held in jail legally. However, the fraud case has been postponed until November 10, 2022. The prosecution was also told by the court to file and serve their disclosures.
