The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is certain that it would win the upcoming by-election in the Ejisu Constituency, even if independent candidate Kwabena Owusu Aduomi is becoming a stronger opponent.
To increase support for the upcoming election, NPP members are actively participating in campaign activities around the Constituency.
The national and regional officials of the party have stepped up their efforts within the area and are optimistic about keeping the parliamentary seat in Ejisu.
In an interview with media, NPP National Organizer Henry Nana Boakye reaffirmed the party’s unflinching faith, saying, “Clearly, NPP is Ejisu and Ejisu is NPP.In our opinion, no independent candidate has a chance of winning the Ejisu Constituency.
“We have a vibrant and energetic lawyer and we are strategically positioning the party to win this hands down,” he stated.
The party also claimed that Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, the former MP who is contesting as an independent, has made very little progress toward the constituency’s advancement.
The independent candidate doesn’t jeopardize the party’s predicted victory, according to Nana Boakye.
“The information is clear; he was appointed as a director at the Ministry of Highways by President Kufuor. He was appointed deputy minister of roads under Nana Akufo-Addo.He had the chance to serve as an MP for 12 excellent years thanks to NPP.
