According to General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) would defeat former President John Mahama in the general election under the leadership of whoever wins the presidential primary.
He claims that even though the National Democratic Congress has not to choose a flagbearer, the NPP is prepared to defeat former President Mahama for the third time because it is confident that Mahama will win that internal contest.
On Saturday, April 8, 2023, Mr. Kodua addressed party supporters following a health walk around Mpraeso’s main streets and promised to restore the economy before the 2024 elections.
“According to Akufo-Addo, the NPP has the men to revive the economy. By the end of the year, the economy will likely be doing well, in our opinion. We simply need your help because the alternative is worse—it is meaningless and devoid of hope.
Whoever we choose to lead the NPP in the 2024 elections will defeat John Mahama, according to Mr. Kodua. Although a flagbearer has not yet been chosen, Mahama will ultimately prevail.
