President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has come under fire from former president John Dramani Mahama, who called his administration a bitter pill for Ghanaians.

He claimed that many Ghanaians were persuaded to support the NPP government by the numerous promises made by the president and his vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, before to the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Former President Mahama thinks Ghanaians should be wary of the promises politicians make when vying for office because of what the Akufo-Addo administration has taught them.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration is actually making Ghanaians suffer, and the bitter lessons that have been learned since voters chose them based on their boastful claims are unprecedented in their severity.

According to Mr. Mahama, the NPP is now appropriately labeled as “incompetent” given the current situation of the economy and the suffering of the Ghanaians who voted for them.

“They called me incompetent, and I responded by telling them that they had never been anywhere close to the presidency. What do we see now? Ghanaians are in need “He lamented.

Former President Mahama urged National Democratic Congress (NDC) members to support candidates with experience in the party’s parliamentary and presidential primaries in order to save the nation from impending collapse while speaking at the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency as part of his three-day tour of the Central Region.
