Some Ho-Bankoe residents are calculating their losses after Saturday’s heavy, intermittent rains swamped stores and homes, ruining commodities and people’s possessions.

Rains that started at around 3 p.m. on Saturday and persisted for almost four hours caused powerful currents to overflow culverts and bridges, as well as congested highways.

This was especially noticeable in the area of Ho Civic Center.

Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Divine Bosson, has offered his condolences to the people, companies, and organizations impacted by the terrible floods.

The MCE urged people living close to big gutters, bridges, and culverts to migrate to higher ground until things were back to normal in a news release.

Additionally, he urged people who were farming near streams to stop doing so.

Mr. Bosson attributed a portion of the flooding on certain neighbors’ destructive and persistent behavior of depositing trash in gutters.

He declared that the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the assembly, and other interested parties were evaluating the damage and would promptly update the public on the development.
