President Akufo-Addo appoints Dan Botwe as caretaker of Chieftaincy Ministry

The Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Dan Botwe, has been named as acting minister for the Ministry for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs by President Akufo-Addo.

This comes after Ebenezer Kojo Kum’s resignation.

This was after Hon. Ebenezer Kojo Kum submitted his letter of resignation to the President on Friday, 3rd February 2023. President Akufo-Addo thanked him for his services to the Government and to the country, and wished him well in his future endeavours

Despite the absence of a stated cause for the resignation, it should be remembered that Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Kum, a member of parliament representing Ahanta West, had a stroke in 2022.
