The All People’s Congress (APC) founder and leader, Hassan Ayariga, has charged that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are both failing to address the needs of the populace, especially the impoverished.

In an interview with Accra-based Original FM 91.9, Kwaku Owusu Adjei stated that although there have been many political parties in the nation since 1992, only the NDC and NPP have gained the political clout to run the country.

Many Ghanaians, however, have given up on the possibility of a better future because it seems that both parties are corrupt.

He expressed concern that the NDC and NPP were headed toward conflict due to their uncompromising stances on the election process and their repeated threats of political retaliation.

Hassan Ayariga pointed out that these political parties’ stance consequently posed a threat to the nation’s peace and stability. In this particular context, the APC leader expressed that the majority of people, particularly the younger generation, were searching for a strong substitute for the two main political figures.

Hassan Ayariga claims that the APC gives these “like-minded” individuals a platform to positively impact this nation’s political course.

According to him, the APC offers Ghanaians a fresh perspective on national politics by upholding democratic principles of liberty, social justice, openness, and responsibility in public administration.

In order to move the nation forward, the APC presidential candidate promoted constructive opposition when not in power and concentrated on issues, principles, and policies rather than using insults, abuses, pettiness, violence, threats, or political vendettas.

Additionally, he urged Ghanaians to view themselves as a single people with a shared destiny rather than letting politics separate them.

He revealed that in order to help the nation advance, a platform was being made available for Ghanaians from all walks of life, especially the youth, to engage in the creation of a paradigm shift in the political and economic development agendas.
