Suhuyini Alhassan Sayibu, a Member of Parliament(MP) for Tamale North, has expressed worry over what he claims is the transfer of state property to private developers.
The Tamale North lawmaker requested clarification from the land minister on whether the Tamale Aboabo Timber Market had been sold to a private developer, but he wasn’t in parliament while the minister was responding to questions.
It is crucial to learn the terms and conditions that exist between the Ministry and the private developer, according to Suhiyini Alhassan, who considered the Minister’s reaction to the Northern Regional Lands Commission’s recent allegation that the commission had not sold the land contradictory.
He was addressing the press in Parliament on Tuesday.
The assertions of the Tamale North MP were refuted by Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor. Abu Jinapor claims that when he became Minister, he inherited the contract. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, he asserted that Suhuyini Alhassan’s assertions are demonstrably incorrect and asked the general public to dismiss them.
