In Saudi Arabia, two Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims passed away due to a variety of medical issues.
The deceased died on Sunday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 12, respectively. It is thought that the deceased was from Damongo in the Savannah region.
Currently, more than 4,000 pilgrims from Ghana are in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia carrying out the annual Hajj ceremony.
Alhaji Ben Abdullah Banda, the chairman of the Hajj Board, confirmed the occurrence to Channel One News and said the two had been buried in line with Islamic tradition.
Additionally, he declared that on Wednesday, a pilgrim from Ghana delivered birth in the Mecca Holy City.
“So far so good, except that we have had two deaths, two of our pilgrims have died. And then we have had one delivery also, one of our pilgrim women has delivered a bouncy baby,” Ben Abdullah Banda stated.
