John Dramani Mahama’s decision to run for president in 2024 has drawn criticism from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on his campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia contended that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer’s poor performance as president was the reason he was not elected in 2020.
Ghanaians have benefited from better governance under the NPP, Dr. Bawumia said, highlighting what he considers to be the government’s superior performance in a number of areas.
He emphasized the need to maintain the gains achieved during the NPP government and asked voters to reject Mr. Mahama and the NDC in the general elections scheduled for December 7.
