Three men were allegedly butchered at Baniekrom in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region by a 36-year-old fetish priest.

The fetish priest, who was only known as Komfo Osman, is said to have entered the Barniekrom neighborhood with a gang and started slashing all the local men with machetes.

The priest badly chopped off four of the victims’ fingers, including a 25-year-old man known locally as Komfo Medal. The two other victims, whose identities have not yet been released, suffered several machete wounds.

The Mankranso Government Hospital is currently providing care for the three casualties.

According to eyewitnesses, the tragic occurrence that happened on Monday, April 3, 2023, was a priest’s revenge strike.
The incident was described by locals to Ghanatodayonline.com’ Jacob Agyenim Boateng in unanimity.

“This Komfo Osman came to our community two years ago, and ever since, our community has not been the same. He has engaged in a number of suspected criminal activities, including the alleged kidnapping of a girl, numerous instances of beating up community members with his gang, and threatening people with live ammunition, among others.”

“Recently, a group of young men thought to be followers of the fetish priest went on the rampage and attacked a Barniekrom resident, leaving him with numerous wounds. The child rallied other guys and demolished the priest’s home, along with his gods.”

“Yesterday, Komfo Osman and his goons arrived here and started hitting any men they came across on the street. The priest and his thugs, however, slaughtered three individuals “He told the media.

After the tragedy, the locals accused the police in the region of being to fault, stating that all reports of the priest’s suspected illegal behavior to the police had gone unanswered.

They said that they believe the Mankranso police are working with the fetish priest since they have resisted putting him in jail for the majority of his illegal activities.
