John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, has formed a five-member panel to handle and look into public concerns about purported corruption.
In a statement released on Wednesday, December 18, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Mahama Transition Team’s spokesperson, emphasized the effort as a means of enabling citizens to report issues relating to corruption.
Members of the team include former Auditor-General Daniel Domelevo, retired COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, legal expert Martin Kpebu, and investigative journalist Raymond Archer. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, will serve as the team’s leader.
Under the upcoming administration, the team hopes to bolster anti-corruption measures with their vast experience. The project demonstrates President-elect Mahama’s dedication to advancing accountability in government, reviving public trust, and fostering transparency.
By collaborating with current anti-corruption frameworks, the team hopes to increase the public’s involvement in the fight against corruption.
