Mahama appoints Margaret Ansei as acting CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency

Margaret Ansei has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).

Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, is a well-known public worker with extensive knowledge in government and development. She was previously the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Eastern Region.

As demonstrated by her appointment, which took effect on January 27, 2025, the government has faith in her to spearhead the GEA’s initiatives to assist MSMEs across the country.

In her capacity as Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei is expected to continue the GEA’s purpose of empowering small businesses through innovative projects, capacity-building programs, and financial support to spur economic growth and create jobs.

The Ghana Enterprises Agency is responsible for promoting the expansion of MSMEs, which are the backbone of Ghana’s economy.

With her extensive background in community development and local administration, Margaret Ansei is well-positioned to guide the organization toward its mission of promoting entrepreneurship and accelerating the growth of small businesses nationwide.
