John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) former flagbearer, is concerned about the intense tension that has developed since the party’s recent Women’s and Youth elections between the youth wing’s.
However, Mr. Mahama has urged reconciliation between Sammy Gyamfi, the national communications officer, and Mr. George Opare Addo, also known as “Pablo,” the party’s youth organizer.
After an urgent separate discussion with them, he wants the pair to stop their incendiary interviews and media commentary.
“I’ve had meetings with our Youth Organizer and Communications Officer and agreed with them that the current exchanges must stop,”
“It brings our great party no benefit and only serves as a distraction from the hardship caused by the reckless management of our economy,” he maintained.
He said, “Let’s keep our eyes on the prize for the ‘Ghana we desire’.”
Mr. Mahama wrote a Facebook post.
He claims that their disagreement will actually shift the party’s attention away from winning the next election.
He urged them to concentrate on winning, as well as all party members.
