About 95% of the NDC’s Minority caucus in Parliament have declared their support for Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to become the party’s next national Chairman.
This was revealed by the NDC member of Parliament for the Tain constituency, Hon. Adama Sulemana.
The opposition NDC party goes to polls today (Saturday 17th December) to elect new political party leaders for the next 4 years.
One of the heated contests is that of incumbent Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah for the Chairmanship position.
Speaking in an interview with Otec fm’s Prince Nii Ade (Dok Cash) ahead of the programme, Hon. Sulemana explained the move was motivated by the support and guidance the outspoken NDC and most long serving General Secretary Asiedu Nketia has been giving them especially during this hung parliament.
According to him, whenever the race gets tough for them (NDC MPs) in parliament and at their constituencies, General Mosquito is always available to support and ensure the right thing is done especially to favour the party.
Describing Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah as a bold, fearless and listening Secretary, Hon. Adama Sulemana believes Asiedu Nketiah will be outstanding if given the nod to lead the party.
He therefore urged party delegates not to influenced but vote for General Mosquito to enable the party win power in the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile Ghanatodayonline.com, Evans Agyei Sikapa in his report from the election grounds gathered that some minority MPs yesterday organised a fund raising to support Mr.Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
