The Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, this morning assured residents of Kumasi, and Ashanti Region by extension, who are clamoring to see commencement of work on the long awaited Suame Interchange that the project would willy-nilly start before the curtain is drawn on year 2022.
The Suame legislator gave this assurance whilst responding to questions during a nearly two-hour interview he granted to Kwame Tanko, the host of ‘Angel in The Morning Show’ on a Kumasi based Angel FM this Monday 27th June, 2022. When pushed further to furnish listeners with exact date for sod-cutting, the affable Member of Parliament for Suame told Ashanti residents that all feasibility studies and preparatory works had been completed, and assured them that nothing will stop Suame Municipality from witnessing commencement of works on the proposed 4-tier Interchange before the close of this year.
Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu however tried his hardest to avoid the curses of overly expectant residents of Kumasi by giving no fixed date for commencement of work.
The Majority Leader was on his usual Constituency visits to ascertain progress of work on many developmental projects being undertaking within the Suame Municipality and to discuss the way forward for the NPP Party in his home region, the Ashanti.
As usual of him, he took the opportunity to brief both his constituents, and the people of Ashanti, on the current happenings in the august house of Parliament where he heads Government Business as its Leader.
He has since left for Accra to continue representing his constituents and serving the people of Ghana as required of him by law.
