The NPP UK Chairman, Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, also known as Wofa K, and the former General Secretary, John Boadu, brought information about government initiatives and projects directly to the public on Sunday, May 14 at the South London Chapter.
The former general secretary reassured party members that the 8-year deadlock could be broken if delegates took the proper action and chose a candidate who would win over both party members and Ghanaians. He emphasized the necessity for NPP members in the UK to continue motivating family members at home to maintain faith in the NPP government despite the recent economic problems experienced by people all over the world.
On his part, the branch chairman advised members to exercise caution when speaking on various venues.
Frank Steadman, the chairman of the South London Chapter, his colleagues executives, Ike Price-Asante, the branch’s youth organizer, were present.
The presidential primaries for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to choose a candidate for the general election in 2024 will take place on November 4, 2023.
However, the party would convene a Special Congress on August 26 if more than five candidates submit applications to contest in the primary.
The presidential primary nomination season will run from May 26 until June 24, 2023.
The party further declared that nominations will be accepted between December 20, 2023, and January 4, 2024, and that parliamentary primaries would take place on February 24, 2024.
