Samuel Dubik Mahama resigned from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) on Wednesday, September 25, and David Asamoah was named the company’s acting managing director.
Prior to this, Asamoah was the Deputy Managing Director overseeing Commercial Services.
His new position is just temporary till the Government of Ghana, ECG’s only shareholder, makes a decision.
Alexander Afenyo Markin, the ECG’s board chairman, announced the appointment.
Asamoah was once the Sectional Manager of Revenue in charge of Technical Investigation, therefore he has experience working with ECG.
He has proven to be skilled in managing intricate situations, and he has testified in court against businesses that are said to have illicit power ties.
