The campaign team for Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nkektia, who is running for national chairman of the NDC, has started a tour of the Central region today, Sunday, November 20, 2022.
In order to incite excitement inside the party as it prepares for the national congress on December 17 to set the scene for the 2024 elections, the three-day journey will feature direct engagement with delegates in the constituencies, elders of the party, and footsoldiers.
His first tour will be in the Upper Denkyira East constituency, according to Mr. Nketia’s agenda.
This morning, he is anticipated to speak with party members at the party office before moving on to Twifo Atimokwaa to spread his message.
The Opoa House is where the meeting is supposed to happen.
The “General,” as he is affectionately known, will spend some time on Sunday afternoon in the Hemang Lower Denkyira constituency at Jankabo, meet representatives from the Cape Coast North constituency at the Cape Coast Hotel close to Pedu, and then travel to the NDC’s office in Elmina in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abirim (KEEA) constituency.
At the party’s headquarters in Assin North, Mr. Asiedu Nketia will wrap up his day’s activities in the Cape Coast North constituency before retiring to the BABIVAN Guest House in the Assin Central constituency. He is promising a courageous, brave, loyal, trustworthy, and unwaveringly firm leadership.
On Day 2, Monday, 21 November 2022, ‘General Mosquito’ will start touring from Assin Damang. His team will meet delegates at the Assin South chairman’s residence by 8am, from where he will cross over to the Abura Asebu Kwamankese constituency and later to Mfantseman.
He is scheduled to pay visits to Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, and the party office in Agona West later in the day.
The campaign team will visit seven constituencies on Day 3 by noon, including Gomoa Central, Efutu, and Ekumfi.
Prior to moving on to Gomoa East, Awutu Senya West, and Awutu Senya East, his final stops in the Central region, he is anticipated to address party supporters who have been swarming him on his tour across the nation at Apam Junction in the Gomoa West constituency, as well as delegates and other party stalwarts.
General Asiedu Nketia, who has previously traveled the northern regions and other areas of the nation, promises to be a party leader who respects the grassroots and would put party members’ interests first in the upcoming John Mahama administration.
In addition, he has promised to be a courageous leader who would not yield to NPP’s manipulations or any kind of compromise.
